Parental Alienation

Parental Alienation

 For the sake of all children to be able to give and receive all of the love they deserve.

Attachment based Parental Alienation. Child Abuse.By defining the pathology entirely within standard and established constructs and principles of professional psychology, AB-PA established defined domains of knowledge required for professional competence:

The Attachment System
Personality Disorder Pathology
Family Systems Therapy
Complex Trauma

Failure to possess a professional-level knowledge in these four domains of scientifically and professionally grounded knowledge when assessing, diagnosing, and treating attachment-related family pathology that involves the psychological collapse, and subsequent dysfunctional stabilization, of a narcissistic/(borderline) parent surrounding divorce would likely represent practice by the mental health professional that is beyond their boundaries of professional competence.

We’re not looking for “parental alienation” – we’re looking for an attachment-related pathology created by a cross-generational coalition with a narcissistic/(borderline) parent. This diagnostic picture will have very characteristic indicators, and the picture created will be of three cats playing in the garden.

But the diagnostic complexity is exactly why this pathology requires specialized professional expertise in four domains of professional psychology:

The attachment system;
Personality disorder pathology;
Family systems pathology;
Complex trauma pathology.

This is not a pathology for the ignorant.
